Default 2007 a6 supercharged

Just had the 599hp edelbrock supercharger installed. Not getting all the power with the 56lb injectors so we are putting 65lb injectors in on monday. Currently at 510 rwhp so monday should see a nice increase on that. Other mods on the car are billy boat headers, hi flo cats, b&b xpipe and b&b bullets.

Maggies are all I love, love the look, bulge in the hood, and in my pants when you hear it whine like a scalded cat.

Lingenfelter advertises that they will do a turnkey E-Force with installation plus dyno tune for $9,000. They are a top notch shop with years of experience and will not be using your car as a learning tool. http://lingenfelter.com/engine-packa...300-supercharg

I like the setup a lot. Has anyone measured heat soak with the Edelbrock? That's my only real concern.

Thanks!

Haven't searched recently, but I know there are at least a couple of threads out there regarding heat soak with the Edelbrock kit. Just dropped off my C6 Z06 today to have the e-force S/C installed, so will hopefully be able to chime in with some input in the not too distant future.

Thanks. With a KB at 10 psi on my mustang, I would lose around 40-45 rwhp. No knock sensors, so the timing was pulled back to 11 degrees.

I found the 599HP kit for Grand Sport model (E-Force Supercharger Kit
Street Legal) $7400 shipped here (using Google product search).
http://www.jdmultimate.com/product/i...Model=CORVETTE

The 599HP model with no dry sump is cheaper yet at around $6800:

If it were me, I'd just buy the kit cheap (online) with no sales tax, and either get it installed by a local reputable shop if I wanted the warranty, or install it myself if I won't buy the warranty. This kit is the best one for the do-it-yourself guys, since it has very few parts, very easy to install, and even comes with a tune! Personally, I don't like getting my car tuned by non-engineers in local shops; sorry.

Installation finally complete on 2008 C6 Automatic!!!!

Notes:
  1. Recommend using a Gates Green Belt versus supplied Goodyear.
  2. Edelbrock has redesigned the horn mounting bracket. Contact Edelbrock to get a fix to eliminate horn sound problem due to the rigid bracket supplied if the new is not initially supplied with your supercharger. Many hours spent on determining horn sound problem.
Kiwi Riordan at Hendrick Performance did the installation. The pumping and wire routing and wrapping looks like it came from the factory. He is a perfectionist to say the least. He also lowered the car 1" to improve the rake and overall look.

Kiwi and Alvin at PCM located in Mooresville NC did the Dyno Tuning. This was done twice due to slippage with the Goodyear belt. The sparkplugs were changed to a cooler running plug. Don't have any other details regarding that change and why.

Car is still in Charlotte due to just discovering a possible rear axle seal leak yesterday. Kiwi highly recommended using Hendrick's City Chevrolet due to having a mechanic that has been living with Corvettes forever. Also, did not want to take a chance of creating more problems driving back to Atlanta. His network of who to use is outstanding.

Below is the Dyno Tune chart. The car has Stainless Works headers and high flow CATs. Considering the Edelbrock 1590 is rated at 554 HP at the flywheel, these numbers look good to me.

Very nice. I've only seen one E-Force in person, and they really look great, no Bubba there. One might pay slightly more for the E-Force but, to my eyes, it's worth it.

Nice 64 fuelly in the background, also.

I thought the vert would make more power with the headers.

Correction too the smaller kit is 559 flywheel hp not 554.

Nice looking convertible with some sleeper power.

Here is the info. directly from the Edelbrock website:

STREET LEGAL SUPERCHARGER KITS
Now you can boost the power in your 2005-12 LS2 / LS3 Corvette to near ZR1 performance! These new E-Force Supercharger Systems are exclusively tailored to boost your performance to 554 flywheel horsepower and 515 ft./lbs. of torque (with stock fuel pump) or 599 flywheel horsepower and 547 ft./lbs. of torque (includes high volume fuel pump).

It does. Edelbrocks horsepower reading's(554, not 559) are at the flywheel and the vert's horsepower reading's(516) are at the rear wheels. Figure 15% driveline loss and the vert's horsepower reading at the flywheel would be around 606 horsepower.

His dyno sheet shows it to be 12 from 1700 to 6500 RPM. It varied maybe a couple tenths, but not much.
