Default No more chrome

Just replaced the original chrome Grandsport fender emblems with black one from my local dealer. Install took about 45 minutes to complete. I also cleaned the inside of my wheels when they were off. Here are some pictures from my phone. I will try to post better pictures later.

Money well spent. The chrome G/S fender badges are double ugly, your ride looks great!

Good job! It's an improvement over the chrome GS emblems.

I'm not much a chrome fan myself, and looks much better. Also like both your guy's comp gray wheels, as really shows off the wheel design. To me chrome wheels are, well are just a bunch of chrome flash.

Beautiful car. I did the same thing as the OP. OEM Comp Grey ZR1's to replace the chrome GS wheels and got rid of the chrome badges. Totally changes the look of the car.

Regards,
John

Yeah mine will be gone on Monday. GM should never put another piece of chrome on Corvettes unless its an option.

It looks good. I am a chrome fan though. IMO the "non-chrome" look may work better on some colors. I like the look of chrome and torch red together as long as it is not overdone.

Don't really want to hijack... but since you asked....

EDIT: Haha... I guess it's not a hijack since you're the OP!

The cars look really nice. One of these days I just might get a set of Comp Gray GS wheels for my Z06. I'd probably be the first person to put GS wheels on a Z - but I really like those five spokes.

I've got a set on order as well. I'm guessing it's easy to swap out once the wheels are removed? A couple bolts I suspect?

Eh im having a shop do it mainly because my arms are to big to get anything done on the passenger side since the dry sump tank is there.

Not bad, but you have to take the wheels off. About 20 minutes a side for me. It's a little tight on the passenger side.

having the black grand sport badges on my 12 from the dealer was on the top of my list of must haves. much cleaner looking and makes the gills blend in well with the rest of the body. I think alot of peoples hatred of the gills would not have happened if they had this badge from the start.
