Not sure what to think as I have had many other cars tinted, but none with the greenhouse in the back of my 11 GS.
Tinter did hatch in one piece with Johnson tint. When done the top "dot" area was white indicating the dots holding it up from flush. He said as the moisture disappeared it would flush up. If not come back in three days and he would squeeze it out.
Went back and what he did was ***** areas of bubbles with a razor. Maybe 6 small areas. Smoothed out and it was only slightly better, and he said it would now dry out quickly.
I don't believe him but wanted input from anyone who has experience with this area and results. Thanks for your input.
There are a lot of thread about rear window tint. A good installer can do it with no problems. Some shops use a strip of black vinyl for the dotted area. I would leave it in the sun for a few days and see if it clears up first.

I have never had a problem with mine or my tinter. He has never had to "*****" mine and it always looks smooth.

I have heard the vinyl is better but also heard the white space between the dots will still eventually show.
When I did mine, I had the installer avoid the dot area all together and then spray painted the dot area of glass with matte black paint - it took about 6 to 7 coats. Result is that it looks jet-black on the outside - all the dots are gone and it matches the tint perfectly....
Good info so far. Have read the threads and still would have asked re the "pricking" of the tint.
I will say it is a consistent ghosting so it just looks weird from above looking down. Will wait a few days and see if the sun we will getting will help.
I am somewhat glad that it appears as a universal problem rather than a bad job.

If it persists just have him cut the tint out from that area and apint it.
I know it may sound radical to paint the inside of the glass, but unless you plan on never driving your Vette and storing it to achieve an NCRS gold score 40 years down the road, painting is the best way to do this....

The white won't come because the film won't make contact around the dots. I'm a tinter. The best way is trim the film around the dots and replace it with black vinyl. Most tinters should be capable of doing this. This is a much less radical solution to your problem than painting and will look good for years to come.
While I am sure painting is an option, and no 40 year ownership is planned, just couldn't bring myself to do it. Black vinyl may be the ultimate fix if it doesn't clear up by next week.

IMO even a good tint installer can have problems with the dot matrix. The guy that did mine had vast experience working on Corvettes but a small area around that dot field had some minor imperfections. I parked the car in the sun for a few days and massaged the imperfections until they were almost entirely gone. It still wasn't perfect but you'd to really look carefully to notice it. It didn't detract from the overall appearance of the car. I didn't want to use vinyl but if you want perfection, I suggest you do.
I had them put black vinyl over my dots, didn't want to go back to the installer, or have to mess with it myself, easier to take care of the issue before it became one.
My tinter has actually won awards for his work and he had a hard time covering the dots. Mine looks pretty good but not perfect. I joined a tint forum to see what other pros suggested. Not one suggested painting the area. Some suggested lightly sanding the dots. Fill in the area with some type of glue or use vinyl. The majority said to take the time and work the defects out.
I've never actually done this but you can try plasti dip spray on the dotted part of the window instead of paint. That way you can remove it at some point in the future if you wish to do so.. Put about 6-7 coats and you're good to go. The shop I had my car tinted at did a great job but if he messed up I'd have likely told him to use plasti dip on the dotted area.
Trust me this stuff will peel right off in a few minutes if you don't like it. but it's also more durable than paint IMO.
