We've really had some pretty nice weather here in the Midwest. Yesterday, after a client meeting, I decided to unwind a bit...took off the top and took a meaningless (no destination or mission) 45 minute drive. Nothing better than the sun and wind, running through the gears and listening to Tom Petty's "Runnin Down a Dream". These are such cool cars!

That's what it's all about!!! This weekend is supposed to be great here in Chi Town.
A drive in a C6 is always good for one's constitution!
I've owned horses most of my life. It may sound silly but there are similarities between owning a Corvette and a horse. I think of all the great people I've met and the truly amazing, fun things I've done all because of the horse. The Corvette is the same....I've met wonderful people and done many fun things all because of the Corvette. There's an old saying Ronald Reagan used on occasion...."There's nothing better for the inside of a man than the outside of a horse." Whether you're riding your horse on a beautiful, secluded, mountain trail or piloting your Corvette on a deserted stretch of road it does one good....the stresses of the world melt away.
That was me yesterday!!! I pulled over once I got out of traffic because it was stressing me out. I took off the top, poped in a Sublime CD and just rolled through the back roads home. My house in the only one on my road and it has a circel on the end. This is a gated community so it is not public roads. The main road from the gate is 2.2 miles and my road off this is a good 1/8 mile. When I hit the end of my road I cut the wheel and threw the car into a donut. Yes the wife just shook her head but my kids liked it.
Having grown up in Douglas County/Omaha when the weather is nice it can NOT be beat. Glad you had a good time. Makes me think it is time for me to go for a ride.
