I would highly recommend the KOOKS 13/4 Long tube headers with High flo cats and X pipe. Try maryland Speed they have great prices on them. I gained 42 Hp and 39 torque when I dynod after the install. Great system and they fit perfectly.

all depends what your plans are for the car. 1 3/4" if you dont plan on making big power. 1 7/8 if you plan on going boosted or cams and heads. many great manufactors out there. just stay away from the cheap chinese crap, keep in mind you get what you pay for. cheap headers are cheap for a reason.

I have an EnglandGreen mayham II Cam, American Racing 1 3/4" headers and Vararam CAI on mine and push 473 hp to the rear wheels with my 08 LS3. The ARH's were pretty darn easy to install. I've heard good things about Kooks and LG's as well. I bought the ARH's used at a good price is why I went with those.

My 2005 A4 has American Racing 1¾" (non-coated) long-tube headers w/ high-flow cats and Dynomax cans. Perfect set-up

I'm a fan of LG headers personally. We have a few specials right now on these as well.

They have 2 versions. For bolt on mods I would suggest the street series. These headers will support over 450 rwhp and are designed for the bolt on to mild cam'd Corvette. Super Pro's should be looked at for anyone wanting to build a car over 500 RWHP.

Street Series

For the LS2 and LS3

-LG Pro Long Tube primary design
-Industry standard 3" collectors
-Included off road pipes
-Available with or without cats
-2 1/2" system which matches the stock size
-Stamped 2 1/2" X pipe.
-Complete 304 stainless design.
-Fully Polished system front to rear.
-No cutting or welding.
-VALUE for your dollar. No Complete header system can be had for less.
Lifetime Warranty

Super Pros

-The Torque Monsters of the Corvette World - No Corvette Header Has More TORQUE or HORSEPOWER
-All stainless steel mandrel bent construction using 304 stainless alloy
-These headers are true long tubes at 32 inches long
-1.75 inch primary tubes; perfect for mild to wild LS engines
-Full 3-inch x-pipe included
-NEW! True race-style 3-inch merge collectors for better scavenging
-Available 3-inch premium high performance metal matrix catalytic converters (no converter flows more)
-Included "off road" pipes for track use
-Race proven design makes more low end torque than any other brand, allowing you to have more of your engine's power on hand at low RPM while still producing fantastic peak horsepower.
-These headers have been tested on independent dynos by outside experts and show proven increased horsepower and torque over other top brands
-Easy bolt on installation with NO CUTTING or WELDING
-Great fit and finish with no ground clearance issues

Kook's, American Racing and LG Motorsports all make excellent headers. I personally feel LG Pro long tube headers are the best. I feel it's worthwhile to have the headers coated as well.
