• Add Sta-Bil to Fuel Tank.
• Clean Entire Undercarriage and Suspension.
• Remove and Clean Inside Surfaces of Wheels.
• Grease Rear Suspension.
• Increase Tire Pressure to 40 PSI.
• Apply Silicone Grease to all Weather Stripping.

Mine won't go away, just cleaned the interior today, then off to pick up the girl friend for a nice drive when she's off work. 89 now and heading to 91 then down to a bone chilling 61.

I'll drive mine until the first snow.

Change oil
Change clutch fluid (Ranger method)
Wash
Tire pressure to 35psi
Add Stabil
Connect Ctek
Fill gas tank

Cover and let sit.

all I do is change the oil, pump up the tires, hook up tender and put the cover on. I probably wont even wash it.

Took a vacation day today and did the storage prep to my '84 and '05. At this time of the year it's dark early, cool in the morning, and except for the chance of a nice weekend not all that great a time to drive them. Made it through another season with no mechanical or other issues, so good time to park them.

This baby is getting all the driving possible till to cold to wash. Then she gets the detail and flannel blankie. She will run an occasional romp on the dry winter roads to stay alive til spring!

THAT'S the way to store the car.
But (you just knew there would be a but).
The car would be even happier if you changed the oil and filter.
I know it's not necessary with the low mileage, but the acids and other nasties in the oil are not kind to engine parts.
Might be a little much, but you will start the spring with fresh oil too.
BTW, mine gets driven until the 1st snow when the roads around here get a full dose of salt.

You had me worried, I thought I was gonna be the only one who didn't do too much to get cars ready for winter.

What are you preventing by putting this seafoam stuff in your gas tank?

It gels up in the injectors, when it sits for months. Clogs them up. Costing money.
It's a known issue. Gas goes bad.
Sea-foam helps prevent this.

So once the winter ends, can you just start the car right up with this seam foam stuff in your tank and fuel lines? Drive to the nearest gas station, fill up and drive without any worries.

My car seasonal license plate expired on Oct 31.
Washed, waxed, interior cleaning etc, and in the garage with the jammies on. The battery tender plus will go on in a few days.
Next time it will be started is on April 1, 2012.

Way to take care of your baby. Some might think it's a bit much but I don't. I would however try to get a few more drives out of it.

Question, how did you go about cleaning the undercarriage and suspension?

I just bought my first new Corvette, It's a 2011 Cyber Gray Grand Sport and I have a couple of questions for you C-6 experts. First of all I noticed you guys are pumping up your tires, what is the reason for this, also the car only has about 700 miles on it, do I really need to change the oil before I put it away. Is it safe to leave a charger on the battery all winter with the car cover on. Thanks, Bob
