Default The Latest from Bondurant

Quick update. Spoke with Chris from Bondurant. Seems like a great guy and very willing to offer something special to a CF group in the way of special pricing, lodging at a nearby spa resort, and "party favors" (hats, shirts, etc.). Here is the email that he sent after we spoke. He suggested that the 3 or 4 day grand prix racing course might be a good starting point for putting together the special package. And, he mentioned that we should pay little attention to the published pricing as that can be flexible. If anyone that is interested in a group deal will look at the Bondurant website and make any suggestions as to what would be most desirous for our group then I think that Chris will put together a CF package and date with a set number of students for the class on a first come first served basis.

Hi Pat-

Great to finally talk with you today!!! I am just following up with you in regarding your inquiry for some group event information on a possible program here with us at Bondurant. I have attached some great information for you to look at, which gives you some ideas on the different programs we provide as well as great ideas on catering, meeting space, pictures and picture frames, custom hats/shirts to possibly add to this exciting event. Once you have had time to look over everything, please contact me so we can then discuss in detail, just exactly how to put together the perfect event for your group.

I thank you in advance for looking at Bondurant to possibly hold an event and will do my best to make sure you and your guests have the BEST time ever!

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Chris

My son and I are both going to do the 2 day Z06 course in Feb. Shooting for either the week of the 12th or 19th. If the forum group is going to do that class at that time, we are both "in"!

And if the 3 day GP comes in price comparable to the 2 day Z06 - that would be really hard to pass up...

Maybe it's just the holidays, but there doesn't seem to be much interest here on the forum. In my previous posts on both general and ZR1, I posted Chris' response and request for ideas for the ideal corvette forum member package. Since there was not much interest shown, I suggested to Chris that he might want to simply come up with an idea for a great package on his own and put it out on the forum with a limited number of spaces for a really special package. Haven't seen any follow up on that suggestion as yet.

I am thinking that, even though it would surely be great fun for a forum group to get together at Bondurant, perhaps the timing isn't just right for most forum participants. As such, I am looking into the prospect of simply scheduling an individual "one on one" day or two with one of their instructors in a ZR1 on their road course. Having done the Level 1three day at Spring Mtn., I do think that individual instruction with the "ever so brave" instructor demonstrating, in car, and then riding along to offer immediate feedback/advice/criticism might be the most beneficial for me personally. My wife wants to go visit her aunt, who winters in Mesa, toward the end of Jan. or beginning of Feb. for a few days so I will look to schedule it concurrent with that visit.

Myself and my 2 sons are doing the 1 day Z06 course on March 7. We're catching the PHX NASCAR race the previous weekend.
If the price is right, I would do a group thing in February. That would give me a jump on the boys, who are already talking major smack!

I was holding off scheduling the two-day z06 course waiting to see what package deal you put together. Appreciate your letting us know the deal is off. I'll go ahead and sign up on my own. Good idea, sorry it didn't work out.
