Have any thoughts on these retractable license plate holders?
Do any of you have reviews of this product or know where I can find a thread about them. Thinking about purchasing one for my 2011 GS.
06-12 Z06/GS Remote Show-N-Go Front License Plate Holder
How easy are they to install and do they get in the way when going up or down curbs with the cars as low in the front as they are. I already have to be real careful just getting in and out of my driveway. (rub the air dam under the front bumper slightly. Not the splitter)
Really do not want to stick the front plate on the bumper and would prefer to keep it off unless I have to show it like while parking in San Francisco where I hear they like to give out cites for this a lot while cars are parked.
Any help would be appreciated with ideas. flag:

yes, they are lower yet, when folded up under the car. I put one on (hole drilling ) and backed out of my driveway to the left (plates uncentered on the passenger side) and scraped the plate out of its bracket. did not hurt the car but I had to buy another show-n-go.....
I learned to only back out of the driveway to the right.

Burning Brakes
I've scraped off 3 of them now...
construction, speed bumps, etc etc...
I'll not be buying a 4th. I've decided to make my own that won't have the same issue. (horray for fabrication!)
If I like the final product I might offer it threw my company if others are just as unlucky with the regular ones.

How many people have actually gotten tickets for no plates?
I am considering the same issue. On my GS, I would have to cut a space in the spoiler. I don't see how I could hit the plate, with the spoiler below it.
Bottom line is I don't want to put one on. Probably won't until I get hassled. I haven't seen many Vettes with a front plate.

Friggin' revenue cops. Never there when you need them, always when you don't.
I think the pop-up motorized plates are kind of gimmicky, but I guess they work okay.
I bought the removable Top-flight one. works fine, and the plate actually never gets put on. I just keep it in the back and will offer to put it on if I get pulled over.

Thanks all. Guess I have to think about this one. I will have to look at some of these other recommendations. Anyone have a link with install pics etc.? (I did search but I have not found any install pics yet) Really like this idea but there is no way I will put it on if I'm going to be pulling it off by leaving my driveway!!!

Until, officer friendly pulled me over and gave me a warning. So I bought the third one. Only this time I installed it under the grill without obstructing the cold intake. No more scraping off the curb!

I had the motorized one. It worked for a whole week before it broke. Company wouldn't return emails and I couldn't get in contact with them to get my money back. I wouldn't recomend them to anyone.

In my experience the plate in the least gets scraped. Possible worse damage.
Even with stock ride heights theses cars sit low.
Everyone wants to lower to lessen the fender gap.
For the most part I have had nothing but problems with lowering the car.
Ya I know how to drive too, but road debris can sometimes be unavoidable.

Mine is an 08, som once in 10 years isn't a problem.
I now have a removable bracket that fits in the radiator bumper. Like usr5000 above. Mine has no frame though, it is in the back of the plate and not seen, just the plate shows but attaches the same.
I add the plate for trips and the City.
As you know tons of cars running around the South Bay without front plates.
