I saw "Ice Possible" on mine one time last year. It shows up when the temps get below freezing I think.

You'll see that warning any time the outside sensor "sees" a temperature of about 35° or less.

Yep that is what it said! when it is cold like this the tires will spin very easy. It also takes 40+ miles for the trans to get to 150*, the engine temp is 174*, oil 208*.

I saw it in Panama City on my monthly business trip last month - on a Malibu rental. Guess all the new GM cars have this in the DIC.

I see it often. It happens when the outside temp gets near 32 degrees (or 35-36 from up thread I see).

I once received an "Ice Preferable" readout once when I tried to put my cheap vodka martini in the cup holder.
Kidding, kidding...
Actually I have seen the readout you describe a time or two. I also received a strange signal from my Escort radar detector "Train Warning" - or something like that when I was sitting in a Safeway parking lot, miles from any railroad tracks.
Even more annoying is the signal I'm getting from my detector after having gone through a procedure for prostate cancer. Whatever the Urologist stuck into me causes my crotch area to broadcast on the same frequency as the State Patrol. Seriously. If you ever see a red C6 driving exactly at the posted speed limit, wave. It's probably me. Getting great mileage too.
Never mind....

It's nothing new for GM vehicles. My 02 Avalanche has it.
