Optima Yellow Type 34.... Its a little heaver than the stock one, but I put a heavy load on it when I race... 2 years so far & its been flawless & trust me I abuse it..

I run the electric fan & electric water pump after every run with the engine OFF for about 10 - 15 min to get engine temp back to 140 - 150 for my next run....

Maybe once a month I'll put it on the battery tender, but it hasn't been necessary it just keeps on ticking or (starting)

My ZO6 has an Auto Zone Gold 90 series in it I got with with a 20% off coupon. Just got an Advance Auto 90 series Gold for another car, on black friday. 10% sale, another 20% for online, and sending me a $50 coupon for future online purchases. These are the kind of batteries I like, as 3 yr free replacement, and store locations all over.

For DD I have a lead-acid, AGM Optima Red Top (group 25, part #9025-160). Great, reliable and fast starting - however it's heavy (31.7lbs.)

For the track I use a light weight (6.6 oz) Braille Carbon Fiber racing battery.

Anyone with the higher amp type, like the Pyle PBat, Stinger SPP or others ...

After 4+ years of fautless service I replaced my OEM battery with a 'top of the line' Duralast battery from AutoZone. Despite the popularity of Optima I opted for a conventional battery. FWIW guys I know (and trust) at an auto parts store sell various brands of batteries including Optima. They say....based on all the batteries they see brought-in daily the Optima isn't worth the premium you pay. The significantly higher cost of the Optima doesn't translate into a significantly longer service life...certainly not enough to justify the premium charged.

Optima makes a fine battery but 'conventional' batteries have always worked exceedingly well for me. I'm happy with AutoZone batteries.

I bought a new one recently from Advanced auto parts. Went with their GOLD series which has a great warranty. I think I paid about $85 with sale promo code.

I usually buy a Diehard. They have always worked best for me. But I got an AC Delco for my 2005 because I wanted it to be original.

Hey, has anyone installed this Pyle battery in a Vette, especially C6? How could this not be the best looking battery for under the hood?

I own an 08 convertible, Z51. Last Friday I replaced my 4.5 year old Delco with an Optima Yellow Top D35. I bought it at Amazon, Great price, $143.00 shipped free to my house in 2 days. It arrived in GREAT shape, no problems. I installed it, had a bit of problems getting the battery cables off the Delco posts, but other than that, all went well. Just had to re-index the windows and reset the time and radio stations.
