Default pros & cons of used

There are two cars I am interested in , but need opinions. First car 2008 JSB Coupe with 21000 miles, 3LT, two-tone interior, Z51, Nav, will take 35K. Second car is a 2008 JSB coupe 3 LT, Nav, Chrome wheels, low miles at 1800, but price is 41K. What to do?

All else equal, not sure I would pay $6K more for 19K fewer miles.

Both cars seem over priced IMO. I just paid about 43K for my new 2011 2lt.

Really depends on whats important to you... Those 19,000 miles, or your 6,000 dollars
Honestly though, if it were me, I'd buy the one for 35k, because 21k miles is not a lot of miles, and a 6 thousand dollar premium wouldn't be worth those 19,000 fewer miles, in my opinion.

Replace those prices with $25K and $31K and you would have some reasonable prices.

good points, miles over cash makes sense. Has anyone ever dealt with Vettenet?

Sounds more like what they realistically should be bought at for a 4 year old 2008 coupe. You can buy a brand new basic 2012 coupe for $41k.

Try Craig's list and eBay. I have had good luck buying off Craig's list at really very reasonable prices on extremely low mile Vettes from original owners. Vettenet cars are very overpriced in comparison.

Since the Z51 is not a requirement for you (otherwise you would not consider the other one) I would go with the lower mileage one and offer around 33, $34k max. I just bought a 09 JSB 2LT, 3300 mi. Z51, mn6, LG headers and cats, Variram, MGW shiter, chrom wheels, two tone interior, M2W, etc. Absolutely perfect condition with 16 months left of warranty. Payed $37k, and probably should have held out for a grand or so less but wanted this particular car. Stay patient and learn what you want because a deal is no good if you don't get exactly what you want. Good Luck

I was picky about the options/color and was able to find what I wanted from CarMax. You can do a nationwide search and have them deliver the car to your local CarMax.

Their prices seem close to what private sellers are asking.

I bought my 2006 Coupe in June 2010 with only 6,200 miles on it for $31K. It was just like new without the instant depreciation....and I drive the snot out of it....and added $10K in upgrades!

I agree, if you drive it alot it will be worth a lot less when you sell it.

Those prices do seem high.
