Corvette racing hat
I bought a nice corvette racing hat that official gm merchandise.
Why is an article that represents American achievement made in China?
I was shocked and disappointed. Shouldn't this be changed?

Like almost every thing else, it's done on a bid basis. The supplier to GM is the one doing the buying. My Jake hat is assembled in China.

A shame, especially when anything with a Corvette logo demands a higher price.

Not sure why y'all are stressing. Darn near everything sold by the Corvette Museum is made overseas. It's simply a fact of life.

It's up to us, the consumer to change things. If we only bought American made items, the companies wouldn't sell anything else.
Be aware, look at the details before you (we) buy.

How are you going to read the label on an item bought on line ?

Pick up any clothing catalogue and count the items that are noted to be "imported". On average, it will be well over 90%.

Folks ... China is now the 2nd largest economy in the world (yup .. there ahead of Japan as #2)
Get used to it. Other than Space Shuttles and 747s, China makes damned near EVERYTHING.
And they WILL rule the world soon! Just too bad they are a Communist state and basically hate America.
Be VERY worried!
