Have the rules changed

I noticed several post here that would have been moved to CFOT a couple years ago. Apparently the rules have changed.

However, I have seen posts that were just about Corvettes in general, without being specifically about C6s get moved to OT. To me, that's where they should be.
Maybe it was because your moved posts weren't about C6s.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Through the years, as the site has grown in size and activity, we've come to understand that Corvetteforum is not just one big community of Corvette enthusiasts -- it's also a collection of smaller communities.
Regular users of the C6 General section, for instance, get to know one another and want to interact with the people they know on a variety of topics that may transcend the specifics of the C6 Corvette.
If someone posts a thread in this section to share information with or get information from the C6 community, it sometimes gets moved to Off Topic.
While the thread may be a more appropriate topic for Off Topic than C6 General, what often happens is that moving the thread ends the conversation. That's because the thread moves from a community that knows the participants in the thread to another community, where the participants may not know anybody and may not be known.
For that reason, moderators are trying more than ever before to respect the conversations that are important to the participants in particular sections, rather than thwarting their interactions.
The problem comes when we start seeing a lot of silly threads that don't seem to serve much purpose no matter what section of the site might be involved.
Nevertheless, silly isn't in conflict with the rules and certainly silly is better than hostile.

At the same time, moderators are sensitive to the possibility that non-C6 conversations in the C6 community could overwhelm the section. If we see that beginning to happen, we may set up a sub-section under C6 to accommodate non-C6 specific conversations.
