Hard to beat any of the collector car insurances like Haggerty but the best rate may come from the National Corvette Museum, check it out, they have affordable rates and can custon design your policy

Everyone's situation is different. What's the best insurance company for one may not be for the other. I shopped around a few years ago and found companies like State Farm and Allstate were considerably higher for the auto coverage. A couple companies had slightly lower auto rates but their homeowners, and rates for other coverage was way higher. Bottom line, for all my insurance coverage I was better off right where I was.....Allied Insurance.
Besides shopping carriers directly find a quality insurance agency and they can compare rates with all the companies they write for.

I have been with USAA going on 18 years now, coverage for 7 cars and homeowners, every year when policy is about to expire I do the shop around thing, I give other companies all the info, types of cars, coverage currently and then they ask who my current insurance is, I say USAA, end of conversation, not one has been able to beat my current rates....

I live in Raleigh and have used AMICA for many years.
I pay just under $1,000 per year for two drivers, two cars -- including my 2012 Grand Sport and a Jaguar XJ8. $100K/$300K/$50K liability, $1K collision deductible, towing & rental, etc. I buy a separate multi-million umbrella liability policy for a modest premium.

Been with State Farm since 84, just paid the 6 month premium on my 08 vert, was $245. Not too bad, now if we could just get gas back to $1.29 a gallon the entire country would jump for joy....

I'm also 69, have two cars on regular coverage (1999 Mercedes & 2009 Z06) and two old Vettes on agreed value collector car coverage plus my home with State Farm, with SF for the past 45 years. With all the discounts I'm paying $50 month on the Z06.

It's worth shopping at least every 3 years. And when you're finished shopping....go to your current insurer and tell them what you found. If you own/rent a home, you will do better putting all property with the same company.

You also have to look at how they will treat you if you need to collect on the collision or comprehensive insurance. State Farm paid for a new windshield in my 03 Z06 a couple of years ago. I went to the installer of my choice based on friends recommendations. They screwed up the job and I kept going back for several months to get leaks fixed. After a year of monkeying around they said they couldn't do any more and I had to live with it. Went back to State Farm and they re-opened the file, sent an adjuster to look at the car and as soon as he looked at it he approved a complete replacement of the new windshield along with a complete replacement of all weather strip and trim around the windshield and doors. The next time I went with a shop the dealer recommended. My local SF agent and adjuster bent over backward to satisfy my problem so I can't say enough good things about how they treated me this time and several times before.

No way would I put my 09 Z06 on such limits that I have on the 56 & 64. I like to drive it anywhere at anytime without worrying about being covered.
