All these names are nice, but it will be called the 427 vert (on public forums etc), we all know that don't we?

Default 427 convertible

If it run nice and smooth like mine and I am sure it does, you could call it the Purrvert.

I think that whichever member buys one first should have the right to choose the designation.

But to me, I personally think DTZ would be appropriate (drop-top Z). For all intents and purposes it is a Z06. It has the LS7, it has the dry sump, it has the GS / Z brake package or even the available ZR brakes... Anyone who says it's not a Z06 because it doesn't have an aluminum frame is failing to realize that it needs the steel frame because it is stronger and more rigid. Sure, it adds weight, but so does the convertible top. So it all comes down to this: it's a Z06 convertible, so naturally it's heavier. That's always the way it is.

Or we could just call it a Z05. Don't think GM will ever use that officially.

How so? The only thing it shares with a GS is the frame. Everything else is pulled from a Z06 or ZR1.
