If your dealer can't do the alignment have them find out where you can get it done. They should pick up the cost. I find it incredible that there are still dealers selling these cars that cannot service them.
Concerning my front end alignment problem, I called Chevy Customer Service three times today. No help at all. I called Hunter who makes the alignment equipment. They knew of my problem and promised to E-Mail me a list of people who can do an alignment with my wheels. Probable in the Norfolk, VA area. I may have to travel 60 or 70 miles but at least I got an answer. The adaptors that grabs the wheels rather than the lip of the wheel are new and have only been available for about 9 months. Not many service areas have this adaptor.
$60K piece of JUNK! I know, I have a $57K junker plus $57K 1,000s/s GM stock loss which equals $114K for the car with GM stock loss. Yet, what a pity, I bought the stock first then the Vette, got burned twice.
There are problems with the vettes, but i still love driving it,sorry about your lost in the stock.
Are those the base wheels, or base wheels with machine finish?
If so, unbelievable that GM is putting a factory wheel on the cars that can't be aligned using normal equipment.
Well, maybe not so unbelieveble. For 15 years they've been making Corvettes where even the dealers destroy rocker panels, when a simple puck (like BMW) would solve the problem.
