You mean the fiberglass rocker panel is cracked?

Or the steel frame is cracked?

The panel can be repaired but isn't easily replaced. Not only do you have to remove the door and the rear quarter panel but the panel itself is glued to the frame.

This is a fact.

Having my passenger's side 'aperture panel' replaced in the next few weeks.

Did you have the car jacked up since you checked for damage last time? Or maybe high centered the vehicle. The first is a very common problem if you don't use jack pucks.

The indentation sure looks like a saddle from a floor jack

Sadly it's not all that uncommon. Chevy dealer cracked mine a few years back even after I insisted they use the pucks I provided. I got it fixed and was good until a couple of weeks ago when an independent mechanic did the exact same thing eventhough I instructed them, and they agreed, to use the pucks... Pretty sad.
In both instances they have agreed to take care of the repairs and pay for a rental car to... Actually it's not a major repair... I would never insist on rocker panel replacement in such instances.
