Looking forward to this one as it will show us what is in store market wise for the rest of the year. Will people be spending money? I guess we will find out!

Wixom guys at Barrett Jackson
If any of you are at Barrett Jackson this week, stop by and say hello to the engine guys from Wixom PBC.
Tom Taylor, Jim Knipp and manager Ken Ray will be doing an LS9 build demonstration somewhere in the complex. They'd love to see some friends from Corvette Forum!

I will be in Kissimmee for the auction (2000 cars) and the NCRS event at Old Town
BJ has turned into a "Fordfest."

I went for 15 years straight up to a couple of years ago. I've seen the whole thing grow and get "commercialized" first hand. For the most part it is not a "market trend setter" due to the type/number of bidders that attend. People with real money always spend, even in down economies. Exceptional cars bring exceptional money when 2 or more bidder's "have" to have it.
Most cars at even the larger auctions are not "exceptional" and bidders don't have unlimited funding. You gotta compare apples to apples.
It is fun to watch for a little while.

Dunno if true, but I agree with you. I like Mecum; I tolerate Barrett Jackson.

It's fun the watch but I've always been reluctant to go (and I'm just down the road). I'd probably find something I had to have. Getting caught-up in the spectacle of the B-J auction probably isn't the best way to buy a car.
