I believe that a very powerful way to enhance your C6 experience is to have another vehicle that you drive part of the time. It does not need to be fancy nor powerful. In fact, something that you are oblivious to door dings with is even better. Way back in the '80s, when I had my first Corvette ('85 C4), it was my only car for 5 years. I believe I took its performance for granted after a while. Here is what splits my driving needs now:
I have a 2001 Escort zx2 that I drive daily (175,000mi)- talk about contrast!!
But isn't it nice to take it to the groocery store and not give a rat's rear where you park it? With my truck it goes even one step further----if someone wants to play bumper cars with me lets' have at it. Marks on my truck only serve to give it even more character!
Ya our 04 Ford Escape is pretty much our beater. We take it everywhere, nearing 200k miles!
Stepping into the vette after climbing out of the Escape makes the driving experience very different Since I'm lowered on coilovers, it feels like I'm getting into a tiny kids toy car!
Point in case, my 2 year son stands taller than my vette - he climbs in it like he owns it!
Good thing he's a bit too short once inside to actually drive it

Factory 1988 Mustang GT 5 spd. (other than 3.55 rear end dealer installed).
Ordered it in 1987 5 mph bumpers back then and it has been the most durable car ever at 238,000+ miles and climbing.
My beater and typically me and my wife's daily driver to-from work:
Ran a 12.6 in that pic stock at +2000 DA (95 degrees out). 12.4s in decent weather. Why magazines claimed it was a 13.1 car I'll never know It's about to get it's first and only mod with a set of K&N filters to replace the stock paper ones. I'm excited, lol.
Fantastic daily driver though.
