Cabin Air Filter

?? Not sure what you are asking? Both? As far as I know, only one filter for the driver/passenger compartment. I could make a wild **** guess that you are trying to include engine intake. If so, the answer would be no. Take a look at the filters. Totally different animals, and purpose.
Clarification would simplify a response.

BTW, Purolator has installation instructions on their web site that says this is a 24 minute job. 24 minutes? Maybe if you are blind and have only one hand with 2 fingers. 24 minutes? This is 2 minutes at the most unless the replacement starts folding and even then it is 5 minutes at the outside.

I love WIX filter for oil. Their cabin filter seems too big for the slot and is flimsy. It seems identical to the factory filter. I just bought Purolator. Sturdier frame and is carbon filled which is an expensive option on other brands. I haven't installed it yet so I'll don't know if it will go in any easier.

OK, I spent almost 5 minutes removing the old filter, taking a picture, installing the new filter, removing the new filter to check for any damage during the installation, and reinstalling it. Unlike the old filter, it looked the same after installation as before. Notice how much narrower the filter gets when it folds. The Purolator has much stiffer sides so I didn't have to make a tool to get it in. Just had to wiggle it a bit. And, before someone else says it, that's what she said.

As Al pointed out
W/o question the aftermarket filters I've looked at are of a better quality and lower price (Purolator and Wix) than the one from GM. Kind of sad considering that the a/c for the LS3/LS7 intake is quality built. I guess the air the engine breathes has a higher priority.
