I put down Race Deck about 2 years ago. I am very happy with the product and the look. I just want to find out how everyone cleans their Race Deck.
I live in Las Vegas so I really don't have to worry to much about rain, snow, road salt etc. I am mainly worried about the tire marks
I mop mine with Dawn dishwasher soap and water. I then rinse and use a floor steam cleaner. This seems to work pretty good but it doesn't totally get all of the tire marks off.

How does everyone else clean theirs.
I use some liquid called "Awesome" that the wife gets at one of the Dollar Stores. Works pretty well. Spray it on then use a power washer on it but back off a bit on the pressure.
For some reason though, not all of the marks will come completely off. I have been told that tires have different compounding which causes some to stain more than others.
Mine has been down for almost 5 years and with the exception of a few marks from my floor jack it looks pretty good.

I use Clorox Clean-up, and a dab of Goop-off for stubborn stuff.
After it's clean, you might consider calling Racedeck and ordering a product called "Restore". I recently put it down on my 7-year-old floor and it made it look better than it did when new.

Thanks for tip on "Restore"
Tom
PS: for cleaning I use a cup of OxyClean in hot water and just mop. I hose it off and use my leaf blower to dry it off

I just looked on their web site and didn't see anything called Restore. They have a cleaner and a maintainer; perhaps they changed the name of it.

Regarding your damaged tiles, they are fairly easy to pop out and replace. There is a YouTube video on technique, using screwdriver and palette knife. I recently replaced 12 of my tiles. You start with the two sides which have the male connectors.
Thanks. Do you have to start from an edge or can you replace from the middle if the floor?
Not a problem to replace tiles from the middle of the floor. I replaced 6 black tiles for 6 white tiles for a pattern change. Just use the technique that JimmyLee (above)
alluded to.
I have marks from the tires when they are hot on the tiles that are gray. I've tried all kinds of solvents and cleaners but none have worked so far.
Same problem here: nothing worked. I called Racedeck two months ago and they replaced 12 of my light grey "burned" tiles for free, without hassle. Seven years since original purchase. Great company.
Anybody have a Race Deck floor that sees snow? Curious about how slippery it is and how to care for it. I was told if water gets under the tiles you will get mildew.

Rain/snow/salt/icemelt/sand, we have it all in Colorado, and my floor takes a beating, I wait til the snow and ice is melted and dry, then use a shop vac to suck up the remaing sand/dirt, then I mop with diluted simple green/water. Once a year I will take up the tiles and scrub the concrete underneath, it gets nasty under there. If I had it to do over I would not put down race deck tiles, too much of a pain, due to weather conditions, but it does look like a million bucks in the summer time, when it's all clean.
If I had known how hard they are to clean I would have gone with slick vinyl tile.
I have tried pressure wash and also scrubbing with a brush and soap. They work but it's a pain. It wouldn't be so bad just under the Vette and Solstice cause I never drive them in the rain. But our DD TBSS tracks in rain and snow slush filled with road dirt.

I like the hoover floor mate idea, Ill have to check into it. Since they have been using salt on the roads out here in Seattle along with some de-icer chemical when there is potential for a little frost, a lot of muck is tracked into the garage during winter. This is my second season with Race Deck flooring, I really like it for a working platform and is way more comfortable in winter when working in the garage. It seems to have some insulative qualities making it more comfortable to work in winter.
About half way through winter, I'll clean the floor where my DD sits. I first sweep and brush the area where there is salt accumulation, then try to vacuum the remaining. What is left is some well ground in dirt so I will use simple green and a deck wash brush from a marine supply store to scrub the floor, then using an old towel, wipe up from the scrubbing. Leaves the floor looking pretty nice. I coincide this exercise with my annual motorcycle maintenance so the DD sits outside while I tend to the motorcycle. I'll repeat the process about mid spring.
Overall a great floor, but a pita to take care of.
Are light grey and white tiles more prone to getting/showing tire marks? Converly are their certain colors that seem to resist them? I haven't ordered or put them down tiles yet, so am looking for advice on color choices to minimize maintenance. I live in NC so their is little snow or salt.
