As a follow up, it has been close to 4 years since I posted this thread and the 3M adhesive tape is still holding fast and shows no signs of coming loose.

In the end, I credit good surface prep and the 3M tape.

Thanks for the write-up. Could you please tell me exactly where you zip-tied the screens to the grille? Photos would be even better.
