Default My New Vette

I finally bought my first Corvette, a new 2012 Grand Sport Centennial Edition Coupe 3LT. So sweet so fast so much power so excited!

I seem to be having a little problem shifting from first to second gear when gunning it, the rear end drifts to the left. Could I be shifting too soon? At what speed and RPM should I be shifting it? I don’t want a do that with a car next to me, that would be bad!!

But......................

Sounds like you need a little more practice driving a manual trans.

Thanks, I've been driving a stick for over 30 years, just never with so much power. The car I traded in was a 2005 SLK 350 stick it would chirp when I shifted, this is like burn and drift!

It's up to you. I don't see the need to. It's publicly displayed on your car anyway.

Redline on tach or speed limit, whichever comes first.

Congrats, Glenn! I bought my first Corvette 1 year ago. Love it!
It's only a 2011 Grand Sport though.

Enjoy!
