2012 GS vert top problem

A friend of mine just bought a new GS vert, he is having trouble getting the top to close all the way to the header and he can barely latch it, anyone had this problem or heard of this problem.

He needs to stick with it - it will stretch enough over a few uses where it won't be a problem.

It's better to have it too tight than a little loose. (I used to have a vert and the top had to be stretched...twice)

Mine 11 GS Vert was the same way when new. It will stretch.

Chances are that if it was inside the showroom it probably sat in the storage area forever.

Make sure nothing that is in the trunk has slid forward and stuck under where the top folds down, I had it happen to me yesterday with my wifes vert with umbrellas that rolled forward

My 08 had the same problem when new, but eventually no problem. Happened so subtly that I never noticed the change and forgot that it began as a problem.
