It is worth it to me as I prefer the lowered look.
I started with lowering on the stock bolts front and rear. I wanted the rear lower so I went with lowering bolts in the rear.
In front, I'm lowered all the way on stock bolts and on the rear I have one turn left on the lowering bolts.
I do not scrape anymore than I did before lowering.
will it get more stiff? Not after the suspension gets realigned. The ride rate at the wheels will not change, however the lower CoG of the car will roll less, and pitch less, so some might assume it rides stiffer, but it does not when you measure the rate at the weels stitting on the pavement.
"I've been asked repeatedly whether lowering the car in this manner changes the ride or improves the handling. Some say it does, some say no way. I say maybe, but not by much. I think people may notice slightly less body roll due to the lower center of gravity. Those who go nuts (like me) with aftermarket bolts or cut bushings will certainly notice at least a slight increase in ride firmness. This is due to the missing inch of semi-squishy rubber between the spring and the LCA, which allows the LCA to act more directly on the spring."
I lowered mine on aftermarket lowering bolts, and I have no complaints. I later added RPI's ZR1 front splitter, side skirts, and rear spoiler and I'm a little worried about how low the front splitter now sits, so I may raise it up and inch, but we'll see. I enjoy it the way it is now. I'm just worried about ramps when I have to take my car in for service.
