Default Fly record

It seems that my Velocity Yellow GS attracts flies. So far my record is 21 flys counted on the car at one time.

I am wondering if it is the color or the Ultimate Quick Detailer from Meguiar's as it has a nice pleasant sweet smell.

No pictures yet, but I will post the next fly infestation, which will be the next time the car is out of the garage.

How about your record?

George

I am on my 6th yellow vette. In at least South Florida, I have noticed the same thing. Probably the frequency on the reflected sunlight or maybe flux capacitor is out of whack. Check air pressure

I've had the same experience! I use Mcquires too, but I think it's the bright color that attracks them.

I really think they are attracted to the wax on the car. It seems like EVERY time I wash or wax my car and it's outside on a summer day, bugs appear to land on the paint and just sit there....drives me crazy

Put some yellow post-it-notes on it and drip a little sugar water on them. The bees will be fighting with hummingbirds for squatting rights.

You guys down south are lucky.

Up here in the NW corner the daily routine includes shooing away cougars and grizzly bears that like to hang out around our cars.

May have something to do with the salmons we have to carry for ID.

The common thread here is the Meguire's Ultimate Detailer Spray. Just washed and sprayed it yesterday. Even though the outside temperature here in VA was a very blustery 53 degrees, I had flys and other flying things all over it. Good news is that they cant hold on once you start moving.

In the Great Southwest it is the scorpions all over the car and the rattlesnakes all under it that can get irritating. And then, if you park it outside, it gets even worse!!!
