Need recommendation for buffer / polisher
As for polishes, I like Adam's polish/pad system. Pretty simple, use an orange pad with orange polish (correcting) - white pad/ white polish, etc.
I am really happy with this polisher- although I use a rotary for the correction, then follow up with GG to remove any hazing or minor swirling left over.
As far as pads- they are pretty cheap, so your best bet is to order a combo pack (AG usually has them on sale) of Orange, White, Black, and Blue.
Orange is used for deeper defects, White is a general purpose/light defect, Black is final polishing/light swirl, and Blue is final glaze. That may not be 100% an accurate full descriptive, but its close.
Newbies need to start out with a 3 step type polish (meaning one bottle does everything- the color of pad determines the cut) or go with a Meguiars System where there are 2 bottles in a kit...
I personally have 24 bottles of different polish..and yes, I can basically find a place to use each and every one of them depending on the paint color, hardness, year, etc.
