Getting called out
Have you ever noticed how many people call you out to race and then they want to spray nitrous, or they have a supercharger / turbo? Or better yet they want to race from a roll.

hahaha, yes, all the time. Matter of fact, a buddy of mine has been begging to get me to run him. I'm in a cammed C6 putting down 416/389. He's in a built turbo S2000. I don't know what his numbers are. I always mess with him though saying that, "Sure, we'll do a first to 200mph"

I have a guy, who is buddy's with some of my friends, that keeps wanting to run a 1/4. Fox body, suspension setup really well, drag radials, and a blower. Running 10psi DD, and 15psi racing. Im just a 02 Z06 N/A under 500whp.
I counter and say 1/2 mile run.

people like to trash talk Vetts and if they ever beat one they use it as a bench mark for how fast their car is. I have run some fast stuff in my time and a stock c6 is a pretty fast car right out of the box. If you do beat someone they always have a buddy whos car will tear the doors off you.

The whole import thing just makes me scratch my head. They spend sacks of cash to make a 4 banger go as fast as a stock corvette. 3 out of every 4 that make a pass will puke something on the track and they have the life spand of a Knat on Meth.

No car I am aware of comes from the factory with Nitrous, so to me, Nitrous is cheating and lame..and quite frankly has no place on the street. You could bolt NOS up to anything and make it fast...granted it might not survive past 1 or 2 passes but anywhoo
Stock vs. stock is really where it;s at...and lots of cars do come from the factory with Turbo's and Superchargers, so it is what it is.
I am still more impressed by NA motors as they have nothing helping them make the power (like a blower or turbo)
For example, the LS7, not alot of motors making that power NA, other than maybe a Viper or Benz with 10-12 cylinders, after that, it's on to exotics that cost 3 times as much.

Kids [ under 30 ] want to race on the street ALL the time. The track is the safe , sure way to race. Of course they won't go there !!!

That's probably true, I'm on Rt 80 a lot many times doing 72-74 in the passing lane and there is always some Mom in a mini van up my exhaust wanting to pass. 
If I goose it and I'm now a 1/4 or more miles away give her a minute and there she is again. Go figure. I just let'em go at that point. Knock your self out

I think its because 99% of Vette owners:
1. Drive 5mph under the speed limit in the fast lane.
2. Cant drive worth a damn.
3. Are too smugg to realize someone wants to race.
4. Thinks their car is untouchable
