They are jacking pucks you install them in the jacking location holes prior to jacking the vette. If you don't use them chances are you will crack the rocker panel

I did forget one once and didn't realize it for a couple days. To my surprise it was still there after about 50 miles of driving too!

Every Vette owner should know what those are! Any time your car needs to get jacked up (oil changes, tire work, etc.) you have to make sure the person doing the work knows what jacking pucks are, and that they need to know if they need to use them.

Me too - two of 'em. Hard to see up close - I noticed them from across a parking lot!

They're magnesium alloy blend aluminum steel titanium cryptonite disks that contain secret powers. The russian mafia wants them back!
Where did you find them?
If lined up properly, they can grant you 3 wishes!

I know some people leave their jacking pucks installed 24/7 but I never understood why. IMO you always take them out when you're finished using them.

Not always....it just depends how the car is being raised. I often lift a corner/side of the car with a small floor jack (no jacking pucks) and I don't crack the rocker panels. You just have to be careful where you place the jack.

that's a relatively expensive one compared to the more generic kind, jacking puck. guess the prior owner thought he wouldn't need it for any other car. probably correct.
