GS Tire Wear Update/PS2 Owners your reviews
I know there have been a zillion threads on this but want the latest PS2 thoughts from those who have em and been running them
The Dealership I go to (that actually knows how to treat Corvettes and people and service them) will replace my front tires under warranty for the premature wear due to the alignment issue but I have to go with the runcraps. I really want to go with the PS2s.
Interested in comments from those who have switched to the PS2 s as there are very limited options .
TIA

I have experience with the PS2 ZP's - in a word, Great.
You may well want to, if you have not already, read the threads herein about properly aligning your car for neutral tire wear with your new sneakers !! An alignment to GM specs will again prematurely wear the inside of your front tires.

I own a 2010 grand Sport conv, i have 7500 miles & my front tires are worn down to thread wear indicators only the middle of the tire, is it possible that they could wear out so soon? the dealer said its not alignment problem, is there anybody else with that problem? thanks,

We replaced our Z51 Supercar tries with PS2 runflats. We found them to be slightly softer, moderaterly quieter, more forgiving at the limits (more gradual breakaway), significantly better in rain. A better tire in every way i can detect.
Are the improvements worth the cost of turning down a new set of front tires? Only you can decide.
Would the dealer simply give you the new front tires, so you could haul them away? Buy four new PS2's and sell the Supercars?

Take their tires and immediately have all four replaced with the PS2's. You can then recoup ~$400 or so from them on here to help offset the cost of the Michelins.
I absolutely loathe the GY's & have replaced the tires within a month of ownership on every C6 (7) I've had.

"In honor of jpee"
wow, tires for your '10 GS are expensive per tirerack. I would agree w. both Jim (Gearhead) and Russell (redzone), altho the PS2 ZPs on my '08 (non-GS) don't seem much better in rain than GY Supercar RFT. Still, the PS2 ZP is an excellent tire from what I can tell, even if it's less expensive because of sizes than it will be on your car.
And that idea of getting the free tires, taking them off and selling them to defray the cost of the full set of Michelins is a good one from any perspective.
Depending on wear pattern of your tires, it might be a good time to get a 4 wheel alignment at the same time for street use (I presume).
Good luck with it.

I switched to the Michelin ZP's on my Z06. I got just over 10,000 miles on the factory Goodyears, and they were really pathetic for the last few thousand miles. When I sold the car I had about 6,000 miles on the Michelins and they looked brand new. They also handled very well, a little quieter and a little better riding. I'm not sure if I ever drove them in the rain, so I can't speak to that.

I am on my third set of PS2's (2005 and then 2008 C6 Coupe). They are good for about 20k miles on my car which i think is great. Better ride, much quieter (and quiet all the way to worn out), much much better in the rain. The one downside is that the initial turn in with the PS2's is not as sharp as on the Goodyears. I have used both PS2 non runflat and the most recent set are ZP runflats - not much difference in initial turn in with either version of the PS2. I fixed it by upgrading my sway bars to JOC sways.
