My Corvette didn't replace anything. I owned the same vehicles after I bought the Vette. At that time my daily driver/utility vehicle was a Suburban....3/4 ton, 4WD, 8.1 liter V8. I've driven Suburbans for decades and IMO they're the best all-around family/utility vehicle you can have (fuel economy notwithstanding). After 190,000 miles I replaced the Suburban with a Ford F250 Super Duty, crew cab, 4WD, diesel. I miss all the indoor room of the Suburban but for pulling trailers the diesel powered F250 wins hands-down. Fuel economy isn't great but it does better than my Suburban did. A couple years ago I bought a new Cobalt for my daughter (she picked the Cobalt). She's out of state so I often drive the Cobalt around town. For a cheap economy car it's fine...it's nimble and I get almost 29 mpg in-town.

I've had a parking lot full of cars (according to my wife) but only regret having to trade two. The first was a 1966 MG midget. Not a well built car but fun. It was interesting to pass a big sedan and look up at the passenger. Had to get something more practical. The other was my Grabber Blue 1970 Boss 302. Purchased new in 1970 and kept for 4 years before we needed something with a functional back seat. Loved that car even though it was really poor quality build and wish I had been able to keep it. Just traded my 2002 MY coupe which was hard to part with but no regrets.

Had a new '03 350Z "Touring" and kept it for a little over 4 years. Fun car and really enjoyed it. Then got hooked on Corvette and got my '07 Z51 () which has a just a little more umph . . .

Drifting
Prior to my C6 I had a C5, but before all that I was driving a 1998 Z28 Camaro and thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Now looking back...
