Default Help please

I had my oil changed the other day and they told me my pas back inner CV boat was leaking. Today I took the wheel off to look at the leak and noticed I had a broken part. It is a little round electronic part in front of the axle with a small arm that attaches to a ball on the lower control arm. What is this thing and what does it do. Several weeks ago I had the trans removed and rebuilt and I am wondering is they dropped the rear end without detaching that little arm and broke this part. The part got pulled into the CV boat and caused the leak. I am sure they will dispute this but what other reason would cause this part to break off a car with 20k on the ODO?

Is it the position sensor for the F55 (electronic) suspension?

Here are pictures of the broken part. What is this part called and where do I buy it other than the dealership?

I'm not an expert, and it's hard to tell, but could that be the Suspension Position Sensor? I think GM part number 25348416 is it...
Look it up on corvette recycling dot com. See below:
