Well, after 19 anxious days I received confirmation of my order on Friday, 03/16. I have started tracking and I'm getting ramped up. Apparently, according to my sales associate, the dealership had to battle to get their last two order alotments but they prevailed and one of them is mine! I received a very fair deal and an equally fair trade for the 2005 VR Z51 equipped C6 that I owned so all is good and MY perfect Vette is on the way

Thanx guys...and yes MarkRx, gm connect is what I'm using. It's very cool but those numbers don't change very fast...

 

That's cool! I'm doing the museum delivery too! I ordered mine 4 weeks ago and the waiting for me is not easy!

01/24/2012 (1102) Order entered via web.
01/31/2012 (2000) Order accepted by GM. Dealer used allocation to place order into production.
01/31/2012 (2500) Order preferenced. Order pulled to the production system.
01/31/2012 (3000) Order accepted by production control. Parts being ordered and production process is underway.
02/20/2012 (3100) Order available to sequence.
02/21/2012 (3300) Order scheduled for production. Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle.
02/29/2012 (3400) Order Broadcast (internal plant paperwork order produced). Order is sent to various build & supplier areas to bring order together.
03/13/2012 (3800) Order produced and vehicle is being prepared for shipping. For Cadillac, GMC and Buick customers, please contact your dealer or customer service for further updates as no further updates available at this time.
03/13/2012 (4000) Vehicle available to ship.
03/13/2012 (4150) Invoiced (order is invoiced to the dealer).

BTW, it's amazing that dealers have to "battle" with GM to build a car when Corvette sales numbers are so dismal.

Guess another update is in order:

Car started down line yesterday late and should complete it's journey to the finish line tomorrow I have been in touch with Lori at NCM...a wonderful lady to speak with...and I'm set for Thursday, May 3, at 10:30a to take delivery.

Plane tickets, room reservations, and rental car all taken care of. Should finalize paperwork with dealer on Saturday. This will be a once in a lifetime trip for the wife and I and we plan on enjoying every minute...no stress, just an adventure with a super cool prize at the end
