I didn't like the bar coming down on my roof when I was storing the roof in the trunk. Last week I cut the entire curtain off with scissors and it looks great. (cut about an eighth inch away from the stitch. When it stretches upon install you won't be able to tell that it was a do-it-yourself job). Also, I have the partition, which keeps the area private.
I also have a partition and I just used safety pins to attach the flap back.

Just fixed mine with velcro. Used fabric fusion velcro from michaels craft store with a half price coupon total cost $3.00. It is heat activated glue. Attached a two inch piece to each corner using an iron for 90 seconds and no more flapping. Looks good too.

For the two minutes it takes to remove the cover and reinstall it why bother?
