Default Windshield Replacement Question

Anyone have experience with Express Glass for windshield replacement? I have a claim in with State Farm and that is one of the companies recommended. I am in west suburbs of Chicago.
Thanks!!

I'm not familiar with Express Glass. If you have full glass coverage on your auto insurance (with no deductible to pay) you could have the windshield replaced at the dealership with OEM glass. Or, if the dealership farms-out their glass replacement to an outside company specify they use OEM glass. Even though I have full glass coverage I've used SafeLite glass on a couple of cars with good results. I found it interesting that Safelite handles claims for multiple insurance companies even if you use another glass company. A couple years ago I had my Corvette windshield replaced at a Buick dealership. The claim (under my full glass coverage) was handled by Safelite although the Buick dealership used a different glass company. They did, however, replace my HUD windshield with OEM glass.

I had a windshield recently replaced on a new Ford F250 Super Duty. It was covered under the factory warranty but the dealership used a outside glass company. When they came to my house to replace the windshield they used a factory windshield...not an aftermarket brand.

Had my replaced by Safelite. They used OEM HUD windshield and it was approved by State Farm, nothing out of pocket. Although Safelite will come out to you for the replacement, because of the complexity they suggested I bring the car to them so I did. They've replaced several windshields and even a rear window for me over the years and I trust them, even with my GS.

Safelite did my ZR1 replacement last July in my carport. Very happy with their work and it was GM OEM HUD-Sat glass with the GM emblem erased-off.

Make sure you get a HUD windshield.......it is treated to work with your HUD. My friend in the Vette club replaced his without specifiying and his HUD is hard to see now.
