What little quirks bother you about your Vette?

Burning Brakes
Drive line chatter. When I shift, I keep hearing clack clack... it's anoying.
Also, the noise top, but I'll address that, I have the grease for it at home.
The interior center console in boring silver paint. I'll replace that eventually.

Honestly the only thing that bothers me is a drivers side engine bay noise nobody can seem to figure out. Have to lean in to hear it on drivers side. Car RUNS STRONG but obviously knowing there is this faint metallic whirring sound kinda ruins all the fun.

The '60s analog **** and tombstone for the F55. Seriously, this the best they could come up with? Looks like something from one of the Heathkits I put together when I was a kid. At least it got changed.

My very slight pet peeve about the car is the lack of decent cup holders. GM ought to have separated the cup holders a bit, so 2 drinks can be put in there at once. It's bad that one has to buy a travel buddy to hold a water for the passenger.
However, it is good for the after market vendors.

The headlight controls on the turn signal stalk. It makes the turn signal stalk way too busy and the headlight controls are very poorly thought out. I also don't like that I have to push the stalk forward (instead of pulling it) to activate the high beams. Very poor design.
The auto diming rear view mirror reacts way to slowly, and there is no manual over ride for it. Give me a manual control dimmer for the mirrors please. The auto one is junk.

Interior, interior, interior....This is one of the last 90s era looking interiors in the GM lineup. It's woefully outdated, beat by even the likes of the current Ford Fiesta....go figure. The 04-06 GTO's interior put the C6's to shame and they are about the same age.

The emergency brake handle needs to be redesigned as well and put flush with the console. It sticks up too far and is way too tempting of a handle for a passenger to hold onto, which could cause a wreck.

"In honor of jpee"
some of these are really funny but true, and some are serious. those '90s-era buttons and cruise are correct having owned two GMs from that era (both corvettes). I can identify with many of the posts.
but I guess the one that gets to me is the potential for computer malfunction. even knowing there's all kinds of redundancies to prevent all-out lock up, there have been stories of sudden power loss due to X happening. I did have this happen when one of the gas pedal sensors went out at (fortunately) a relatively sane 65 mph. had I been going faster and in more traffic (there was some but not a lot), it might not have been a good-story out come. it is obvious to me that the engineers do not have all the computer/sensor controls fully sorted and working flawlessly. yet.

[QUOTE=Mach2;1580392648]Only thing I don't like is it's not a Centennial Z06 with the Z07 Package.
and that the steering feels soft and much too light. Difference vs. my 2002 BMW 330Ci is night and day. Blows the Bimmer's doors off so not all bad.

The POS Nav system.
I live in Little Rock, AR and have attemped to use the Nav to go to Petit Jean State Park 3 times.
(A rather simple route Hwy 10 to Hwy 9 then turn left in Oppelo and go strainght to the Park.)
Each time the Nav has indicated a different route and NONE OF THEM were this simple. One trip even had me turning AWAY from the Park!!

I've never been a big fan of the whole Fob setup. At times, it can be a pain.
Amen - it the technological answer to the question nobody asked. Just give us the simple key and manual lock/unlock remote fob like most all the other GM vehicles.
Take the savings and:
- install cup-holders that actually hold 2 cups and don't boil all fluids contained therein
- install seats not made by Roger's Rocking Horses Inc
- install a stereo/navigation system with minimum 1990's technology
- install at least some quality interior materials; perhaps like you use on the ultra exclusive Chevy Malibu
- install a heated steering wheel; you have them on the shelf as my Yukon came with one
Most of this has been on Corvette buyers list of "Please change/improve" for years. Customers should not have to ask for the same things year after year and be ignored - that is my pet peeve with Corvettes

I actually like the cruise on the turn signal. I guess I just find it easier to use than search around and trying to separate the cruise buttons from the stereo controls on the steering wheel...I like the current controls on the wheel.
