I recently tried the one from Turtle Wax on my polished aluminum rims, major improvement! In the past, I'd wash the car and maybe get two trips before the rims started looking "grimy", coated with brake dust, I've now gone at least a month (probably 5-6 trips) and the rims still look great, very little brake dust. Got it in Wal Mart, about $8 for a can....highly recommend it!
I use Armour All Wheel Protectant & it really works! Watch their demo on You Tube. Brake dust is minimized and simply washes away - great stuff.
I use this as well on the CTS-V which dusts terribly. Works great, get it at Walmart. (ZR1 doesn't seem to dust much & they say not to spray anything near the carbon rotors).
I typically Rejex my wheels when I do the rest of the car.
After every couple of days of driving I dust them off with an old cotton towel, then I clean them off with the same spray detailer I use on the rest of the car.
No big deal. The spray detailer works pretty well, and it keeps the wheels slick & smooth to the touch.
I've tried the Armor All stuff. It's a waste of money, IMO. It helps, but it doesn't work any miracles.

All the posts about the Armor All made me go into the basement and check, my mistake, it was not the Turtle Wax product I used but the Armor All Wheel Protectant, everything else in my post remains the same, GREAT stuff.....
Do any of you have chrome rims? The reason I ask is on the regular rims like the ones in Armor All's the spray is not noticable.
You do this on chrome and you are going to see it which will give it a "satin" finish/look.
On the CTS-V, my rims are high polished. When applying the spray, it looks funny at first & even has a rainbow look to it. Follow the directions, let it dry real good & it is not noticable. I usually put the car on the lift, spray them all lightly & let it sit overnight. A little goes a long way & it is easy to 'get runs' in the spray application if you get crazy with it. It does not appear to show up when it dries.
I've never had a problem with excessive "brake" dust. I think by driving fast and braking hard the brake dust blows-away before it adheres to the wheels. I also have good brake air ducts to help blow the dust out.
