2008 C6 Pause When Punching
Is it normal for the 2008 C6 Vette LT4 Package to have a slight hesitation before all cylinders kick in? When the exhaust opens up the engine roars, but only after this brief pause. We have the baffled exhaust - could that need a moment to kick in before taking off? We are new to this C6, coming from an 2001 Z06. We love the car. Comments or suggestions welcomed about this pause when punching.

A6 transmission ? don't totally mash the throttle...roll into it firmly & steadily...should get a better response.

Are you talking about in the 1000rpm to 2000rpm range? There are many owners that notice a slight dead spot in that range.

If your '08 has an LT4, it has quite a bit less horsepower than those of us with the LS3 in our '08s.

Only until your brain quits tricking itself.
I like the A6 for cruisability, but I do kinda wish I would have gotten a manual. And will next time.

Might be normal behavior depending on conditions... traction control, torque management and other electronic nannies can be intrusive.
Also, if you have an auto trans and "punch" it while moving, you'll experience a pause while the tranny & engine decide on the right gear & amount of power.

Or maybe something's wrong, like a dirty MAF.
