I'm in Tampa and the Sunoco station here on Dale Mabry Hwy has "race fuel" 110 octane I think. With that said, would there be any adverse effects on a 2011 C6 (other than the crazy price) engine?

probably burn the o2 sensors out. and isn't racing fuel leaded??? probably destroy your catalytic converters also. not a good idea. i'm sure some others will chime in here. but you are asking for trouble running anything but premium unleaded in car.
93 octane is all you need, anything higher is totally useless. An engine is designed for a set amount of octane and you will actually loose power with the higher amount. The additives in gasoline control the burn of fuel in the cylinder to prevent an explosion which is called detonation. A slower burn than designed (higher octane) will prevent all the fuel from being converted into power and this excess fuel is actually exhausted. This unburned fuel is burned in the converter before going into the atmosphere. The excessive fuel burnt in the converter, in higher concentrations than its designed, will shorten the its life.
and to further what Larry said.......octane is merely a number asigned to resistance to detonation.....the higher the number the lower the combustion temp will be, NOT a good thing in a modern computer controled car (yes it can compensate to a point)....power is maximized at a given combustion temp so why **** $$ out the tail pipe !!
Also, Sunoco is not a Top Tier gas supplier, so the additive package in their fuel might eventually allow more deposits in your engine than the Top Tier stuff.

That's easy....so you can tell your friends that you run "racing gas" in it.
for me the best is a 93 octane but to find the one without the 10% alcohol that is the best but as you all now is very hard to find a gas station that has the 93 or 91 pure gas .i drive like 30 miles out my way to get this from a gas station on the marina where i keep my boat and the price is a litle higher then the regular gas station so everybody good luck with your gas problem
