TPMS troubles
looking for any ideas before having to take a bath over stupid sensors.
tks for any input
Seeing that you are already in this mess, you should get to a GM dealership that knows what they are doing. Most aftermarket programmers work with a variety of vendors and some dealership should be able to figure out what the problem is. It might just be they are completely incompatible. If that is the case, I would try to get your money back.
If they're some exotic aftermarket wheels that require the sensors to be mounted deep inside the wheel with bands, that could be your problem.
If you're running stock wheels, or wheels that mount the sensors in the OE manner (i.e., valve stem of the sensor sticking out of a hole in the wheel), and several different shops have had problems programming the tire pressure sensors into the TPMS computer in your car, then you probably have sensors that aren't compatible with the TPMS computer in a 2005-2009 C6. All C6's built in those model years for delivery in North America had a UJ9 TPMS - like you said you see in the list of RPO codes on the sticker in your glove compartment. 2005-2009 Euro spec C6's used a UH3 TPMS, and in 2010 they changed the C6 TPMS to a UJM. You need the correct tire pressure sensors for the TPMS computer in your car or they just will not work!!!!

I looked at the Dorman site, and also several sources that sell their sensors. All of them say that the Dorman 974-012 sensor is compatible with the OE sensor for a 2005-2009 C6 (GM part# 25758220), but on the Dorman site it does mention that the 974-012 is for use with a UJ6 TPMS computer.
There have been many GM vehicles made that use that UJ6 TPMS, but no C6 uses it. And the 25758220 sensor will only work with the UJ9 TPMS.
So.....Dorman has conflicting info on their site about what vehicles that sensor can be used on - they say it's compatible with the OE 2005-2009 C6 sensor, but they say it works with a UJ6 TPMS - it can't do both!!!

I can't recall seeing any reports here on the forum about Dorman sensors. I have seen several reports of owners using other aftermarket sensors (Orange and Oro-Tek) with good luck, but with the conflicting info on the Dorman site and your issues trying to use them, I think I'd recommend using a different one.
I've had 3 2005-2009 Vettes and have had about 6 different sets of wheels (street and track wheels/tires/sensors between all of them - a 2005 Coupe, 2006Z06, and 2009 ZR1 - so they all use different size wheels, but the same sensors) and have always used OE sensors with no problems. about 3 sets have been bought used off eBay for around $100-$120 for a set of 4.
I recommend OE sensors.
Good luck,
