Theft deterrent issue?
I have a steady light while the car is running. The book says 'If the light is on continuously while the engine is running, your vehicle needs service'. Does anyone have further explanation, or know what kind of service?

The steady light is the one on left, pic of car with padlock? (or other light?)
I'd try battery disconnect, wait short time, reconnect. Does your doors& windows&other stuff work fine?
Have you tried to see if codes stored in history using a Tech 2?
research note: the only thing i found was a person having this light, also had a electric inside door lock not working, fixing that fixed the light. so based on that i would say that deterent found something not connected/loss of signal, door/hatch/other verify everything working.

Thanks ChevyDave. I began to wonder about the battery in the FOB being that I don't remember ever replacing it, so I replaced it and that seems to have solved the problem.
I will make note of this in my owners manual should I ever see the issue pop up again.
