Default Freaking bridgers

Yesterday I was at an intersection and out of thin air a bridger shows up and slops a freaking window squeegee on my windshield. I was on the phone with a customer and I told them I had to go. This stupid MFer slopped that nasty squeegee on my car and my car does not have a mark on it, even my windows are waxed. Talk about loosing your cool, I told him to get away from my car and drove off. I than pulled into a parking lot and cleaned all the nasty water off the car. It can't be legal for these guys to do this sheet.

Bridger: a person who lives under city under passes.

Would be worth a buck for him not to do this.
He's just trying to get by.

While I agree that I wouldn't want this guy putting stuff on my car...he is likely either mentally ill, has drug or alcohol issues, life has not been kind to him.

The only difference betwen you and him is likely a few good breaks-Choices VS bad breaks- Choices. There but for the grace of God go I.

Relax and enjoy that which has come your way.

....let me be the first to reply somewhat positively......Here in my area...we have laws that prohibit this kind of behavior/pan handling/handouts. If these people are OK to wash a windshield....then maybe they are OK to get a fri%#in job!
Go ahead nayers...I am ready and have big shoulders...... for not being a compassionate.

they are a menace for sure they multiply each day

in alot of states it is illegal for them to panhandle

people need to stop giving them money and give them job applications.

the majority of them are just to lazy to get a real job.

I don't want to set myself up as better than you (OP) or anyone else; I can easily see myself having an instant reaction like yours. Upon reflection, however, all you had to do was wipe off your car and go on your way, still lookin' good, with three squares, a nice home, meaningful relationships, and a full life to enjoy. What does he have to look forward to? I'd be thanking my lucky stars.... Please just try to remember that he, too, is a man, and every life matters. Let's look out for each other -- there are far too many places in the world where men are killing each other as we speak about a sports car.

You really think that? Only a couple bad breaks! Is the difference?
If I was the op I'd be livid! Not with the the bridger more for your way off base comments!

I have been on my own sense I was 17, I paided all my own bills, I worked 3 jobs to pay for my education. I never once took a hand out, student loan or grant. This is not some 3ard world country this is the USA and anyone can make it if they are willing to put in the work. I pay almost 40% in taxes so my goverment can give away sheet to people who are lazy or make bad choices in life. I am old school, teach a man to fish so he can feed himself but give him a fish and he will come back for another free fish. If we keep on this path we will be France some day.

I hate to see you getting stressed out over this low life " bridger " but I understand where you are coming from.

I also wholeheartedly agree with your above statement.....I also do not think things will get better in the near future ( sad ).

And there is nothing wrong with being " Old School "

Hey I am not looking to give handouts to the whole world. I too worked my way through school, had multiple jobs to survive and pay more taxes than I care to.

I don't disagree that the OP should have been pissed at the guy. I am just saying that considering all that we have and all that he doesn't, for whatever reason, walk away and go enjoy your car.

Hey just MHO

Why didn't you give him a buck (or your loose change) and say thank you?

NATURE is the only perfect thing, and it's always evolving. As a result of that evolution, a mans' ego has become his own worst enemy..........master it and you master NATURE. Don't let kharma get you!

I am not saying we should club them like baby seals even though at the time I sure wanted to, what I am saying is enough already. These people are at darn near every intersection, my kids see them and ask questions. It is not my job to raise the world, it is not my job to pay for their health insurance. America land of the Free!!! They where free to make their choices in life but I should feel guilty or bad for them because their choices led them to this. Freedom is not free, there is always a cost and in this case it is living under a bridge. I as a tax payer should not have to deal with some guy walking up while I am stopped in traffic and slopping a window squeegee on my Corvette.

I work with my church to help people all the time but we chose to help people that want to help them selves not people looking for a hand out. We should all be there for our neighbors but that does not mean raise them.

Sorry I will get off my stump now.
