Default Help removing map lights

Got the interior led lights from corvette mods. I cannot get the map lights out! Any help. I've tried taping them and using needle nose but I can't seem to get it

I did the swap out successfully and I pulled the bulbs out very carefully using a needle nose plyer.

Did you do the engine light under hood if you have one and the glove box too?

Default string is the trick

you have to use string tie a knot in the string then carefully wrap it around the bulb and tighten it up. Then pull down and it will pop out. It will take a few tries but thats how its done.

i used a video on youtube that showed how to make a slipknot. Once i mastered it with the string i had(dental floss works too), i was then able to pull my map lights out. The good news is that the LED lights go in easily and they come out easily(assuming you want to change them again).

I used needle-nose pliers with duct tape around the tips, then turned inside out a couple of turns, so sticky side is exposed. They came right out. And yes, I used a rag under the mirror in case I broke a bulb. Good luck.

I used a small piece of rubber fuel line, push over the end of the bulb, then pull straight out.

I should have videoed. I took a piece of string (size of yarn but stronger) tied a slip knot. Here is the trick get it tight on there where it will not slide down. Before you pull the long end of your string to completely tighten take some tweezers and push the knot and the circular part of string surrounding the bulb. Push it as far in as you can and hold the knot and string with the tweezers pull down on the long end of the string and kind of pull out, they both came right out for me they were def snug. Main thing is be patient lol. I found this order easiest to hard. Rear hatch lights, underhood light, tag lights, reverse lights, footwell lights and the hardest map lights.

Also that slip knot helped me remove the plastic screw tabs in the footwell. I loosened them then put the circle around the head of the screw tab yanked on it a few good times and they came right out. Also used the slip knot on the incandescent bulb bc it's so hot to touch I put in the circle tightend wiggled the string a few times and it popped right out. Hope this helps anyone struggling

I found the hood light to be most difficult and the glove box light the easiest.

It's the same as if you had to replace map lights if they had burnt out. You can use a piece of dental floss with a slip knot to grab onto bulb and gently pull on it. Depends on how tight those bulbs are in there. I remember just pulling them out with needle nose pliers but this can damage surrounding area if you aren't super careful.
