Default Help Troubleshooting

Hey guys so my 05 has been acting up on me lately, so here is the problem. Suppose I am getting onto the Hwy and I want to get on it a little bit half throttle and row through the gears, well occasionally the car while accelerating it will bog a bit and the "Service Traction System" will show on my DIC. Now, as soon as that comes on the car seems to be much stronger it feels like a rapped ape especially if I take it all the way up to 6500 rpm at WOT. It feels like it has zero restrictions.
So I am trying to find out why it does this, and if I turn off the car and restart it the traction system goes back to normal. I tried to use the search option but came to little helpful results many others have been getting this but their engine's power reduces. Any suggestions will be helpful .

Thanks, Roy.

Roy, did you have the "Service Traction System" TSB done at the dealer? You should have gotten a letter about it, a few yrs back. Don't know if that will fix your "bog".

you might be thinking of 'service active handling'.. recall for that is second down in this list.. http://www.alldatadiy.com/TSB/10/051006fZ.html
(and a tsb further down in the list as.. 06-02-35-002B OCT 07 Electrical - Service Active handling Message/DTC C0710)

Hey guys thanks for the replies, yes I did take the car in for the Service of the the active handling I don't think it was for my problem. I have been reading and some may say that it might be the Wheels Speed Sensors, you all think that can be it?

what you need to do is to get code(s) read when you have the message. you have to (i believe) get the code(s) read when you have the DIC message and BEFORE you restart the car. if i remember right the codes will not be present if you restart the car and the problem doesnt exist. post the codes here or look them up. Bill Dearborn has posted many responses on this topic. here is only one of many, and as always, reply is totally dependant on the specific code(s) you get, so this only applies to P0171, see post#2...
