Default Two Issues just started - Any ideas?

Had my steering wheel replaced with a beautiful one from DS Vettes in November. Good firm swapped it out for me. Recently, my air bag light has been going on. It stays on for about 20 minutes, then goes out, then it comes back on. I thought I read some where that there is a connection to check out, but not sure where. Any other ideas what it could be?

The other issue is when I put the car in reverse ((06, C6, A6 with 52k miles) I get a one time only "Click" and it clearly is coming from the rear end. Just started this year. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

Air bag light might be connections under drivers seat. Check and move/squeeze them. If it goes out zip tie them tight. My 2006 did this and I could move the connectors and light would go out.

As for the click in the rear of the car, you might check the axle nuts on each rear wheel. I forget the torque settings but i'm sure someone on the forum can recite the specs in their sleep.

I might recommend changing the rear diff fluids if that has not been done. This can result in clicking noises but generally only when turning.

Did the rear diff fluid last year with the newer spec fluid. At that time the tech said my axle nuts were barely on. They tightened them up per the manual spec. I will check to see if maybe they came loose again, but I would be surprised. Only have about 3k on it from last year. Not a daily driver.

Thanks guys,

The axle nuts need to be replaced before re torquing, per GM recommendation. Tighten once only then replace. Add some loctite too and let sit for 24 hours.

What? You don't regularly check your nuts?

Pull the center caps off and there they are. You need to don't remove the wheel.
