Been lurking on here for a bit and am looking at a couple cars.
This one caught my eye, looks like a stealth airplane! Not sure though, do you guys think that it's just over the top? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-Co...t_32138wt_1167
Hopefully it's wrapped not painted flat black. Not the look I'd go for. If it is wrapped make sure the wrap is in perfect shape and doesn't have holes or blemishes on it. Pricey to fix.
Other than that I had the same car and drove it for 50K trouble free miles.
Keep in mind that car is LeMans blue and is wrapped. THe wrap looks "okay" but I can see where there are spots that are wrinkled or are showing signs of wear. I also believe there is probably a stripe package under the wrap.
Keep that in mind because that wrap will have to come off as they're generally only good for several years.
Vehicle wraps are pretty popular right now, so people tend to do them even if their paint is pristine. However the wrap does beg the question, what is the paint condition underneath? Once the wrap comes off, you may need a respray, or another wrap. A high quality wrap will run several grand itself, so keep those costs in consideration.
I would not buy this car without inspecting it in person first. It's got a lot of mileage on it and I can see wrinkles in the wrap on the front bumper. There are also wrinkles in the suede that was put around the radio bezel that are apparent in the photos. The interior mods on that radio bezel just don't look like they were professionally done to me from the pictures. IMO, if I were you, I'd buy a car with lower mileage and if you really like the CF wrap have it done on a car that you can see vs. buying one that may have things covered up on it. And no way I'd buy that car without looking at it first, Ebay protection or not. I guess if it sold really cheap it might be worth it, but who knows what the reserve is!
As an added bonus, that pop-up screen on the radio is blocking 1/2 your air vents, that might be a bit of an issue when it's 90+ degrees and you're in a black car driving around with little air flow from your AC vents.
I say, go out and find the best car you can for the money (best being newest and least amount of mileage you can afford) and then add the mods that you want after you buy a car that's mechanically sound.
so, if you filled out your profile, we'd know whether you live the next town over from Milwaukie. other than that, heed carefully the advice of dl above. buying this car (or really, any car) sight unseen, or even with whatever's the return policy is just plain crazy imo.
if you want wrap, as said, get a good car, and have it done. jmo.
