I was 40 when I bought a 73 454 automatic corvette.It was my dream since 1973 when I was 20 to own one.It was originally ,by the numbers , a Blue car with black leather interior,but was painted red.I had to sell it when I was 45, cause os busiess slow down.So about five years ago I started looking for a numbers matching milie miglia(976) red and dark saddle(422) leather interior 454 four speed with all options.I found one with an automatic and 38000 original miles but I couldn't Quite afford it and it went to New Zealand.But I'm glad I waited cause I found and just bought a numbers matching 976/422 73 454 fully optioned .Ps/pb/pw/ac/rear widow defroster/ 4speed/454 ,I'm not sure about

I was 19. First Corvette was a 1957. Body mods that made it one of the best looking street rods (even to this day) that I have ever seen. Numerous drive train combinations-favorite was 301 with Duntov 097, 4 speed and 4,56 gears ( ran high 11's at 122). I bought the car in 1963 for $1,475.00. Am I sick that I don't still have it? Don't ask.

I was 30 and bought a 3 year old 86 coupe. Took it to the shop to get checked out. I said to the guy, should I buy this car? He said, do you need to buy this car. I said what do you mean. He said, at some point do you need to buy a corvette. I said yes, so I had my answer.

22 yrs old - July 2, 2010 - Special Ordered 2011 Grand Sport - Paid in full on the day I picked it up. Had a corvette fund since 17 years old. And when the GS came out, I jumped on it.
