So, long story short, I haven't driven my Vette for almost a month now. I've been in the house or driven by someone else (just had some stuff going on). I always lurk on the forum, but each day it gets harder and harder to resist! I should be able to drive it again soon, but the separation is just horrible!
Luckily, I have my model (a white 2005 that is identical to my Vette except for the steering wheel since mine is a 2007) that I have had with me and I have been looking around at different things to buy for the Vette (and of course lurking the forum!).
So, have you ever had an extended period of time where you COULDN'T drive your Vette? If so, how did you deal with it and did it give you separation anxiety?
On a similar note, when you're down because of some situation, it is amazing how even a picture of your Vette can make you grin for eternity!
Same here at 7000 feet the winters can get nasty with snow and icy roads so no driving for most of winter.
Recently I had a heart issue and was in the hospital for 3 weeks and when I got home i could not drive. But I could go out into the garage and arm chair travel with my vettes and trans ams..

Very similar situation here, time wise as well. Hope things get well for you (or have already)!
Seems like a lot of people have the Winter issue. VA gets cold, but here essentially right on the coast we get almost no snow and when we do it is usually very light. So, luckily winters are essentially never an issue here

Every winter, it gets stored from about the 2nd week in Nov to start of April . SUCKS but I'd rather suffer than have the car scuffed up and eaten by all the salt on the road....and subject to an accident since noone around here remembers how to drive in the snow from one winter to the next!
I am on week 4 sitting around from surgery and just getting around on a cane finally.
Hopefully next week I will be more mobile and ready to hit the road.

Yup. I was actually lucky this year. Went away in December and came out in April.
My GS has been waiting on a replacement rear tire for almost a week. I am relegated to driving my little four banger Honda instead. I do indeed have separation anxiety!
I can identify with that but not because of winter hibernation. My car is only driven on the track. We have year-round driving in Arizona but our racing season slows way down during the heat of July and August. The summer hiatus is a good time to get work done on the car. It's not quite the same but when I'm really Jonesing I play the Formula 1 game on the Xbox.
Same as many others every Winter. But I really do not miss it that much as I look forward to playing golf in Florida and when I return home it is like having a new car again.
