We have basically given up on who we should have to tint the windows on out 2010 GS we have had quotes from $900 to $375..
Is this just a corvette owners jack up? the same company our dealership uses tinted my Sons 2008 Ranger 5 windows for $100
the Grand Sport. $400. Its only 3 WINDOWS!!! WTF!
Shouldn't cost you more than $250. C6 back glass is a bit more difficult because of the dot matritx. Most places put vinyl over the dot matrix and tint over that. Some place sand the dot matrix away. The tint does not want to stick around the dots and make it look like its pulling away (white around it). Make sure the place you choose has experience with the C6 but I would shop around for a better price as well.
My 'normal guy' stopped doing vettes, so i had to find a new place. the local place right down the road claimed to be able to do it and gave me a choice between $140 for 3 year warranty or $190 for lifetime
They did the side windows, then scrapped two pieces trying to do the hatch. They wanted to give up and just let me leave with the sides done for free. I told them to give the rear one more try and if it didn't work i'd at least pay for the tint they used. It took forever, but they got it done with only a few minor creases.
In the future I will definitely drive farther and spend a few bucks more to go to a place that's familiar with vettes.
There's a place north of Atlanta that does all kinds of high dollar sports cars, I forget the name, but they should be able to do it without issues.
When I bought my new 2008 coupe in July of 2008 Bale Chev had it tinted for me. The cost was $237 I thnk and it had a lifetime warranty through Bale.
Last week I took my triple black vert in for tinting and the company they used was no longer in business. Bale now does it in house but they won't do coupes because of the curve in the big back glass and the grid there.
Someone actually quoted you $900...that's telling you they don't want to do the job. After I got my new 2005 I asked the dealership who they used to tint Corvette windows. The company they use comes to the dealership every so often and does the work there. The dealership location was more convenient and the price was about the same (versus going to the tint shop) so I had the job done at the dealership. They charged around $160 for the 2 side windows and the rear hatch glass. If you haven't already, I'd ask your dealership who they use. Good luck.
I recently checked 2 local shops. The first quoted $250 for Corvettes, no exceptions. They also said that they were having quality issues with Llumar and would be using another brand. Asked about the dot matrix, they said it was not an issue. They apply pressure while using a heat gun and rolling repeatedly over the dots. Not sure that will turn out well at all. They also said that ceramic film is a lot of hype and does not last very long.
Second shop quoted $149 and uses top of the line Llumar. They apply some material to the dot matrix prior to tint application.
Both shops said that they use a single piece for the rear window of coupes.
I have never paid more then $99 for any of my cars being tinted including the Vette. That guy just didn't want to do your tint anything more then $100 is a rip off IMO. Good Luck
Nice Yellow GS! The dealership was the one who quoted me $886 I had our local tint shop look at it and he said Ill try it. None of them had done a (New Style) before they wanted $250 JKBRIDE i'm in Newnan where did you have yours done in carrollton?
I just had my new 2012 GS Cyber Gray done with 30 per cent. It really transformed the Cyber Gray color. I shop included it in a bunch of other work they did and the cost was minimal. Love all the pictures. I am not smart enough to learn how to post one. By time I figured it out I would have a different vette. LOL

Tint on my GS cost me $200 for the three windows. Unless they were going to cover your windows with some kind of gold tell the company that quoted you $900 to stop smoking what ever it is they are using.
