I guess you have to define problem. Yes, there is wind, like in a vert. But I enjoy it up to about 60mph. You need to test drive a coupe with the top on and off to experience it. I test drove both the coupe and vert.
A problem how? Is it noisy? Yes; to the point where I sometimes wear earplugs if I know I'll be hitting interstate speeds. Is it hot in the summer? Yes; you will roast at red lights for sure depending on where you live. Do things fly around? Yes; the passenger side seat belt, assuming you have no passenger, sometimes oscillates against the sail panel and makes an awful racket. The wind will also blow anything you have sitting behind the seats around assuming it is light enough.
If you remove the top from any car and drive it, it is going to be windy and make a certain amount of wind noise. I have trouble connecting with this question.

Be careful with a baseball cap! I lost one on the freeway cruising at 70 . . . It just got sucked right off the top of my head!
There is plenty of buffeting and noise in a topless coupe at 60+ MPH.
Good point.
The OP should also explain when he'd be topless. On back roads at 45-50 mph, through trees on a sunny day, it is a glorious ride. I live in northeast Ohio, and the day after Thanksgiving last year was sunny so the top came off for the first time. All back road driving with the heat turned up. It was great.
However, stop and go traffic in Arizona during the summer would be torture.

Comparing my occasional rides in a C6 vert, the coupe does have more wind and (at higher speeds) buffeting than the vert.
OTOH, simple noise, especially from the tires (even though I have Michelins) is the most annoying factor, and I don't think that would be different on a vert. On long road trips with the top off, I too use earplugs. Don't laugh, they make a huge difference.
For me, the transparent top is so much nicer than an opaque top like the vert, I considered it an easy choice. And then there's the roll-over issue...
If you play with the side windows, you can make the buffeting wind in the cabin less than if the windows are fully closed or fully open.
It is pretty windy at 70mph, no matter what.
We find it enjoyable as the sun is setting and the temperature are getting pleasant. Cruising in a 30-45 mph area is really enjoyable at that time of the evening
I have a C6 coupe, one of the reason I bought the coupe and not the Z06 was the targa top. Unfortunately it is only useful up to 60mph imho, beyond that the wind and noise is significant.
I dont think this car was designed to be a real convertible, I drove a mercedes SLK (with a wind shot) a few years back and even though I am not a big fan of the look of it at speeds 100-120mph it was pleasant and far better than in my c6 at 60mph
I have a set of shooter's ear muffs that I picked up at Bass Pro to wear at the NASCAR races. $13. Also helps keep the hair in place. But, since the roof won't come off my Z06, I don't need use them so that I can enjoy my car. Just a nice quiet gentle cool breeze coming from the A/C ducts.
